Quality Assurance Analyst (ID#4658)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to help test business applications through both manual and automated testing. There are multiple positions open available for both contract and employment. The role location will be either hybrid or remote.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement quality assurance strategies, ensuring thorough testing of all functional requirements.
- Develop test plan and execute test cases and test scripts, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all business processes.
- Test customizations, configurations, and integrations, ensuring they meet business requirements and function seamlessly with other enterprise systems.
- Coordinate manual testing efforts for areas where automation is not available, ensuring thorough testing of complex scenarios, user workflows, and custom processes.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify key test cases, and ensure early detection of defects.
- For defect management, ensure all issues identified during testing are accurately documented, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the testing processes comply with industry standards, organizational policies, and best practices in software quality assurance.
- Prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes, including test coverage, defect rates, and system performance, and present these findings to stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of QA processes, test cases, and testing results.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the QA function.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Automation testing experience with Selenium an asset.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of testing tools and technologies (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Jenkins and others and asset).
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, WebLogic, Dot NET) and asset.
- Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with manual testing techniques and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate testing strategies, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
