New Value Solutions, a national consulting company is seeking a Quality Manager to help our client manage the quality aspect of a large transportation infrastructure project, including but not limited to managing a team to perform on-site and internal quality assurance tasks ensuring full compliance and quality control across all project phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage quality audits across all project phases, ensuring compliance with Project Agreements and ISO-9001 standards.
  • Prepare, schedule, and oversee internal and external quality audits for key processes, ensuring all findings are documented, addressed, and reported to project leadership.
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring consistent and effective implementation across the project.
  • Manage and resolve non-conformities, including preparing reports, addressing issues with construction teams, and coordinating rectifications as per project specifications.
  • Collaborate with technical, construction, and commercial teams to identify, communicate, and close out quality issues, ensuring timely resolution of all non-compliance events.
  • Coordinate on-site quality assurance testing and manage quality-related consultants to ensure tests meet project specifications.
  • Liaise with Project contractors (including designers) and Quality Directors to ensure alignment and adherence to quality processes.
  • Track and document observations, deficiencies, non-compliance, and corrective actions, ensuring proper record retention in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Prepare monthly quality reports and present findings and improvement recommendations to project leadership.
  • Ensure quality-related processes (e.g., design, construction, environmental) are implemented effectively and meet required standards.
  • Proactively identify potential quality issues, working with project monitors and contractor teams to mitigate risks before they escalate.

Requirements:

  • ISO-9001 Certification with strong proficiency in Quality Management Systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record in conducting and managing quality audits, ensuring compliance with project agreements and industry standards.
  • 5+ years of experience leading quality teams in construction or infrastructure projects, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including construction, technical, and commercial teams, to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Experience in managing non-conformities, including developing corrective action plans and tracking resolutions to closure.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality assurance testing, with hands-on experience managing on-site quality control processes and external consultants.
  • Proficient in report preparation and presenting audit findings and quality recommendations to leadership teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of document control, ensuring proper record retention and retrieval according to ISO standards and project requirements.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage large amounts of data and quality documentation effectively.
  • Experience on large transportation infrastructure projects is beneficial.

The hourly rate range for this position is $85- $120, with the final rate based on consultant experience and fit for the role.
