Information Management Delivery Lead (ID#4682)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company is seeking an Information Management Delivery Lead to help our client Lead the coordination and delivery of IM application implementation for redevelopment projects, ensuring alignment with clinical, construction, and operational needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and co-ordinate all application delivery work and configuration workstreams assigned, prepare all necessary project PMO documents, and coordinate with the leads of the interrelated and parallel streams of work
  • Orchestrate and conduct detailed planning and delivery of the IM work that includes:
    • Early implementations of new or enhanced application capabilities before new building move in
    • Core systems application configurations primarily conducted by other company areas
    • Building systems and clinical technologies provided by the construction partner needed to be coordinated and integrated into setup and opening plans
    • Monitor and coordinate with major corporate initiatives that are being rolled out and need integration into plans
    • Transition services, including hand over of systems and technologies to operations at redevelopment project close
  • Liaise, collaborate, and work with other IMs at Central City, through the IMIT Project expediters, to ensure that the IM deliverables are aligned with regional initiatives – this includes working with corporate EHR project (Advance) being rolled out across all sites needing to be coordinated and facilitated for configuration of fit with clinical operations for the new building/campus
  • Liaise, collaborate, and work with Clinical Planning and Clinical Operations to ensure that the IM delivery remains aligned with clinical needs and priorities across the application portfolio – this includes being intimately involved and providing guidance to the overall Redevelopment Go-LIVE planning, Operational Readiness, transition teams, change management and the support and sustainment organizations to ensure a smooth transition to operations
  • Develop the IM Go-LIVE plan by gathering input from various delivery & redevelopment teams that encompasses all IM build/configure, test is dovetailed with the Redevelopment Go-LIVE plan at patient move in and first weeks of operations
  • Create a master work breakdown structure, master schedule, and coordinate project implementation tasks in collaboration with other redevelopment project teams (Operational Readiness) within the Redevelopment project and across the organization
  • As a member of the IMIT core delivery team, you will provide and participate in adapting project monitoring and communicating process / deliverables for an environment that is issue driven with elements out of the sole control of IMIT to ensure IMIT progress continues, and decisions taken are communicated – this includes appropriately effort balanced means of ensuring:
    • Escalation of major risk and issues and efficiency opportunities,
    • Escalation of significant change decision making,
    • IM delivery work remains aligned with organizations IM Master Plan and solution models,
    • Consistency of project planning and status reporting,
    • Integration of schedules and all work is accounted for
Other Responsibilities
  • May fill in or substitute with the IM Delivery Leads or Manager roles on an interim, or full time basis, at any redevelopment project
  • Steps in and directly manages IM work packages on interim basis for project delivery/service continuity reasons
  • Provides ad-hoc subject matter expertise to other related or aligned Authority initiatives as requested by the Executive Director, Capital Facility Projects, IMIT Solutions
  • This is a full-time engagement, additional projects or tasks may be assigned to gain full utilization of consultant
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working on large scale IMIT application implementation (not IT or infrastructure) projects in project management or project lead role in the healthcare industry
  • Senior level consultant with skills and experience necessary to provide the desired services and deliverables above
  • Ability to take lead in a changing/reactionary fast paced environment
  • Able to efficiently prioritize and structure clear and unclear workloads
  • Open to rolling up your sleeves, applying subject matter understanding and to dive into details to uncover optimal solutions to application implementation and hand-over sustainment related problems
  • Effective communication skills, and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders and partners
Preferences:
  • Healthcare industry experience in an IM or clinical informatics capacity
  • 3 years of experience working on large scale construction projects in an IM project management role
  • Formal project management training or certification

The hourly rate range for this position is $80 – $100, with the final rate based on consultant experience and fit for the role.
